Check the signature on a government PDF
Drop an e-Aadhaar, e-District certificate, DigiLocker document or PAN e-card. The check runs on your own device, shows what passed, what failed and who vouches for the signer.

How it works
Add your PDFs
Files are read in this page and never sent anywhere. A password is needed only to make the verified copy.
Five checks run
File unchanged, signature genuine, whole document covered, chain reaches a trusted authority, and certificate valid on the signing date.
Get the report
Each file gets a plain-words report. Only when every check passes can you create a copy with a green tick band added.
Questions
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The checks run inside this page using your browser. The file never leaves your device.
Why does Adobe show a yellow question mark?
Adobe Reader only trusts the authorities on its own list. India's signing authorities are not on it, so Adobe cannot finish the check even when the document is genuine.
What does "Not trusted yet" mean?
The signature is intact, but the signer could not be tied to a trusted authority. The document may come from an authority this site does not know yet.
Does a green tick prove the facts in the document?
No. It shows the file is exactly what the signer signed and that the signer is vouched for by a trusted authority. To confirm the contents, use the QR code or the issuing portal's verification page.
Is the verified copy digitally signed?
No. It is a flattened display copy with a band added under the first page. The signed original stays the legal record, so keep both files. The copy's properties record the original's SHA-256 fingerprint.
Is revocation checked?
No. A web page cannot reach an authority's revocation service, so each report says so. For high-stakes use, confirm the certificate status with the issuer.
